We are searching for an Engineering Manager that can help us in leading our growing remote tech organisation. The job is primarily on a remote basis (unless situated in Stockholm), and you will be reporting to the VP of Engineering.
While being an independent high-level expert in Development, an Engineering Manager is focused on leading the team(s) and driving their success. This person is responsible for building high-performing teams, talent development, retention, and engagement.
We're looking for someone who is committed to taking challenges, willing to learn, and who has a strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills. This person should be able to multitask between various projects and communicate ideas clearly and effectively. We are happy to tell you more about the position in a first interview.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
At least 2 years of experience in people management
Track record of delivering successful products in a leading position while building high-performing teams
Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills and experience in recruiting, coaching, and mentoring technology talent
Outstanding communication/presentation skills, written and verbal, as well as the ability to influence credibly and effectively -> English at C1 level is required as well
Being flexible, self-motivated, and proactive, with demonstrated creative/critical thinking capabilities. Plus, being capable of dealing with ambiguity, addressing uncertainty, and adapting to changing priorities
A high degree of accuracy and willingness to work at a very detailed level while still being able to abstract ideas for communication to cross-functional teams and senior management
Thorough understanding and execution of a wide variety of project/program management approaches, techniques, and methods, including standard SDLC and PM methodologies (waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Ability to work independently, as well as a team player collaboratively with all parties and stakeholders
Experience in working with teams in designing, building, delivering, and managing complex, large-scale, cloud-based, or on-premise SaaS solutions
